Who is Radamés Soto?
Radames Soto is the President and founder of Kinina Ventures a firm specializing in the creation and acquisition of companies in the Wellness and Media sectors. He is the former Managing director of The Wall Street Journal Interactive for Latin America . Soto joined Dow Jones in November 1998. Under Mr. Soto's direction, the former Wall Street Journal Americas, expanded its focus on The business and financial needs of the Latin American market through the creation of The Wall Street Journal Interactivo.
Mr. Soto is widely regarded as one of the most experienced and multi-faceted figures in the new media world. Among his projects is the film "Road Dogz", the national syndicated series "HispanicAmericans: The New Frontier" hosted by Jimmy Smits, "Video Active" a nationally syndicated for teenagers, "America Latina Finanzas y Negocios" a weekly business show syndicated throughout Latin America sponsored by Merrill Lynch.
Mr. Soto has an extensive track record in the creation of content both for the Internet as well as film and television. He developed a TV/Internet series with HBO "Techno3". He is considered by many, including publications like Variety, The New York Times, and The Village Voice, Hispanic Magazine as a leader in the Internet content for Latinos.
Mr. Soto owned and operated a successful and well-respected entertainment and media company for five years Blue Pearl Entertainment. He is also the founder of TDI (a broadcasting & Internet investment firm) and Zotox Investments, a new media merchant house for the Spanish-speaking world.
As a journalist Mr. Soto is the recipient of an Emmy, the ACE Award, and The New York State Broadcaster Award. He is also a three-time nominee for the ACE Award in investigative reporting.

Manifesto
Make the planet a nourishing and loving place to live on. The heart is the real source of our actions and ideas. Lets really make quality of life and human nourishment the priority.
Respect nature We are nature, it is our duty to respect, protect and learn from nature rather then conquer her.
The Inner Journey The real revolution is our inner growth. As long as we do not reinvent our inner landscape our outer reality will continue to be limited, stale and violent.
Live a holistic lifestyle The mind, the heart, the spirit and the body are one interrelated organism.
Business to transform the world Business is a very powerful force that must be used to transform the earth. Compassion, entrepreneurship, innovation and the Spirit are the core elements of this transformation. Business based on- innovative chaos, taking risk, intuition, heart, synthesis, non-linear skills, a holistic approach, conservation, quality, cooperation and partnership are the focal points of a new business paradigm.
Use technology to unite people Lets create technologies that bring us together and help us develop lives of greater quality. The Internet is a manifestation of our desire to be connected. We aspire to connect to each and become whole.
The Media Media must inform, uplift, educate, inspire and unite. Not manipulate, instill fear, and keep people from developing their inner greatness.
Individual versus the collective The individual must become responsible for his or hers well being, inner journey and self-improvement. The government cannot do it. Lets empower our selves, hearts, and thoughts.
Government small and non intrusive The government is simply a traffic cop. The responsible individual is the engine of growth, order and prosperity.
High self-esteem is the most effective weapon against corruption. As human beings we must understand that we are all capable of creating the life we want. We do not have to take from others. The Universe is an abundant system. Scarcity is an illusion.
We are what we eat/ eating is a political act If we eat junk, we become junk, we think junky ideas and we end up creating a world of junk Let's eat quality food and become quality people.
Quality of life over superficial growth Our economic growth must be based on the growth of the human spirit and the improvement of our lives. We need to change the measurement of our economic life and the meaning of the word profits. Profits must include quality of life, personal growth and enjoyment.
Learning is a human right Teaching people is a global duty; not having education available is a violation of human rights.
Role models are extraordinary people We must admire real people that have created extraordinary lives not people created by the media. Role models are essential for the development of our human potential.
Abundance and prosperity The universe is abundant. We are abundant and limitless. We need to turn our minds and hearts toward our greatness, abundance and possibilities.
Consumption vs. quality of life We cannot fulfill our emptiness by consuming. Consumption must have meaning and it's consequences measured. We need nourishment, creativity, encouragement, playfulness and community not more consumption.
Individual creativity, imagination and self-expression is sacred The individual creativity we must be respected encouraged and protected. It is the only way out of our current broken paradigm.
I have declared myself dead
I have decided that to live my life to its fullest I must die. I have been in the comfort zone for too long. I have not taken the necessary risks. I have not grown enough. Therefore, I have decided to declare myself dead as of today. My funeral has taken place. This event marks the end of a personal era and the beginning of my re-invention. No more playing it small, no more compromising, no more underestimating my inner powers, nor sacrificing my inner child’s dreams and desires, no more censuring my imagination, no more feeling ashamed of my tremendous inner strength. My current living model does not work any longer.
I am in the process of re-inventing myself. This new phase is about making changes related to my mind, my spirituality, my body and my risk patterns. I have been thinking about the mind's tremendous power.I have realized that through reading, meditation and contemplation this power is accessible.As well as through the power of images, visualization and sound. The possibility to create and manifest is simply to huge to avoid. I have now started to discipline my mind to tap into this immense well of potential. I am also re-engineering my life through a series of profound changes and commitments. Here are some:·
Focusing the mind on my great potential that is on my courage and not on my fear.·
Become consistent in the pursued of my spiritual life. I will do so via meditation, contemplation and prayer.·
Speech: I no longer judge people. Words are the seeds of thoughts. I have been a very critical through out my life. It never felt good or productive.·
The body, it is the vessel of the spirit. I am taking care of it through improving my nutrition, working out and taking yoga classes.·
If I am not in touch with my heart life is dry. I am focusing my attention on the heart and developing activities that spark feelings of love, compassion and fun.·
Risk, I am simply dead therefore I have given my self permission to risk it all. Since I am a dead I have nothing to lose and all to gain. From now on I risk it all.It feels great because I know I cannot fail. Life will turn out, as I believe it will. I am in control of the outcome of my risks through my thoughts, the images I think and feelings.·
My life style will no longer be one of compromise and of being a follower.
This is the beginning of a personal paradigm shift. It came out of after years of quite desperation and of the compromising of my spirit, values and dreams. It is over. I have now given myself permission to be myself. I no longer need approval. My approval comes from within myself. It is be a beautiful and powerful journey. I can’t wait to wake up in the morning to this new life.

I am an old living model-Time to reinvent myself
The world is moving into a dead end scenario. We are locked in an obsolete existence. I personally have recognized that I am living in a warned out paradigm. Stuck in a framework that does not permit me to really flourish and connect with my greatness and the universal force. I gave meaning to the wrong things. In the past I had been blaming my environment and the world for not working, being too violent and destructive. It took me many years of contemplation to realize something I had heard so many times: The only way to change the world is to change yourself. All of sudden I understood what it meant. It means that I need to give meaning to the right things, pay attention to what life is telling me-that is get out of my head and re-invent myself.
The process of reinvention is a fascinating one. I have been thinking and reading about it for some time. I have come this conclusion: reinvention is about given ourselves permission to be who we really are. It is a counter intuitive process because it feels like you are adding more emotional levels and stuff but in reality the opposite is taking place, which is striping away in authenticities. I am now in the process of re-invention. It is fun; it is pretending and letting your imagination be free. Is anybody out there intentionally reinventing himself or herself? If so I would like to hear your experiences.
By the way I pick up the new Fritjof Capra book "Hidden Connections" it looks fascinating. I also saw the movie "Kids" it is great. Look forward to keeping the connection alive.
